Maldives
The corals are large and full of reef fish, with schools of surgeonfish, batfish, bannerfish, black snapper and butterflyfish. There are also large schools of triggerfish. Careful observers may find camouflaged scorpionfish and tiny nudibranchs, and eagle rays pass by in the blue. Gallandhoo is a 12-hectare rocky island in the south corner of Ihavandhippolhu Atoll and is also a turtle nesting site. In Haa Alifu Atoll, the sea usually starts getting calmer around the start of December and stays that way until May, before the monsoon.
