Maldives
The site has a beautiful coral reef plateau. Marine life is abundant: big schools of reef fish, colorful coral, lobsters and, occasionally, eagle rays, moray eels and sharks. Common sightings include sharks, whales, dolphins and turtles.
Dhaalu has around five channels on its western edge and ten on the eastern side, and the currents that run through them bring nutrients that support healthy reefs and plenty of pelagic life. In Dhaalu and Faafu, hawksbill and green turtles are seen year-round feeding on the reefs.
