Maldives
The channel is also called Reethi Kandu, and “reethi” means “beautiful”. It is a shallow channel with caves and overhangs on the outer face; deeper down, some overhangs have holes that can be swum through. In Felidhe Atoll, during the peak diving season of the northeast monsoon, the current in the channels on the eastern side tends to flow into the atoll more often than out of it, which gives clear-water dives that are good for seeing sharks and pelagics.
