Maldives
The site is very varied, with bays and curves along the whole stretch of the reef. Large coral formations shelter schools of blue-striped snapper and oriental sweetlips, and there are lobsters under the rocks, sometimes a stingray or a nurse shark. Eagle rays are frequent, and lionfish and moray eels turn up on top of the reef. In the Eriyadu area, the peak of the manta ray season usually runs from January to April, when sightings at the nearby cleaning stations are most common.
