Elba is a triangle-shaped reef whose northern and southern plateaus plunge into the abyss, with towering coral formations. On the southern plateau, perched on the edge of a deep chasm, lies the wreck of the SS Isola di Levanzo. The coral formations on this plateau are breathtaking. Around Elba Reef, large gray reef sharks and even hammerheads can be seen.
