El Bohar Soraya is a smaller reef than its neighbour Shaab Bohar Kebir. The two reefs lie immediately side by side, both oriented east to west.
The whole reef can be circumnavigated in about 50 minutes to an hour. At the southwestern tip, a passage open at the top runs through the reef. Along the way, many small coral blocks richly covered in life make for a relaxing dive.
