Dolphin Den is a maze of coral canyons, cave tunnels, and swim-throughs on Roatan's north shore, quieter than nearby Mary's Place but built on the same template: hard and soft coral corridors over a sandy floor, canyon depths running roughly 4.6–12m. The site sits at the confluence of two currents, so plan to drift rather than fight it — hammerheads occasionally show on ripping-current days. Inside look for nurse sharks tucked into overhangs, green and spotted morays, channel clinging crabs, snapping shrimp, anemones, and slipper lobster. Every June through August, dense clouds of silverside baitfish flood the caverns, drawing predators and photographers alike. Overhead sections and current call for advanced certification; water stays 25–29°C year-round.
