Maldives
The name comes from Dhivehi, in which "kandu" means channel. The reef slopes down to the sand, covered with hard and soft corals and full of life. In Haa Alifu Atoll, manta season typically runs from November to March, and the sea tends to be calmer from the start of December until May, before the monsoon.
