Maldives
The channel is about 200 m wide and lies in the north of Thaa Atoll. Inside it there is a bowl-shaped area called the 'Arena', where many fish swirl around. Among the animals that appear are eagle rays, stingrays, dogtooth tuna, big eye trevally, barracuda and fusiliers, and sometimes manta rays and giant trevally as well. Thaa is a remote atoll, and COMO Maalifushi was the first resort built on it.
