Maldives
The channel is about 200 m wide and 600 m long. There is a drop-off on the outer edge, a slope on the inner edge and a flat bottom. On the outer reef, a few overhangs make it possible to swim underneath and look for more marine life. Among the animals commonly sighted are big eye trevally, barracudas and schools of fusiliers.
