Maldives
The thila has a sand plateau covered in soft corals, where stingrays meander among the reef. For macro lovers, there are glass fish, cleaner shrimp, nudibranchs, flatworms, sea stars and sponges. The eastern side has numerous caverns and overhangs to explore. In Meemu Atoll, the monsoon tends to run from May to November, and around June the sea is sometimes too rough for boats.
