Maldives
The site consists of 3 thilas, in a sheltered stretch of the channel between Lily Beach and Vilamendhoo. In Dhivehi, thila means an underwater pillar, and 'baiypolhimas' is the name of the dusky batfish. The middle thila has hard corals and coral blocks with glassfish and squirrel fish, as well as flatworms and stingrays on the sand.
