Maldives
In Dhivehi, Anga Faru means “mouth reef”, and it encloses a lagoon and a sand bank. Drifting along the reef, you can see turtles, manta rays, eagle rays and sharks, and the overhangs are covered in soft corals, mainly blue ones. Oval in shape and close to Hanifaru Bay, it brings together several thilas that tend to host manta rays during the southwest monsoon, from mid-May to November.
