Egypt
The drop of the wall right at the foot of the resort is a rare natural formation in the Marsa Alam area, and it holds a small cave. The dive can be done from one pier to the other, about 400 m apart, in roughly 45 minutes. Diving on the house reef is available all year round.
The fringing reef is covered in hard and soft corals, very colourful, and barracudas swim around right at the entry. Between the piers you can see moray eels, octopuses, blue-spotted rays and lionfish. On the reef there is also a jewel grouper hiding among the corals, and cleaning stations.
From the blue, eagle rays, turtles, trevally and barracudas often pass by, and with luck also mackerel and rays. A large barracuda shows up almost every day, and turtles are frequent visitors. Dolphins and reef sharks sometimes appear.
